Alella turns the lights back on

Just above Barcelona lies Alella, a small town with a big sporting heart. But its football pitch had a serious problem: the lighting was failing. After five years, the old LED installation had lost most of its output. Light levels had dropped to just 30 lux — far too low for proper training, let alone safe play.

It was time for change. Alella chose a new approach, with sustainable LED lighting from Lumosa.

To meet Class II lighting standards, a field needs at least 200 lux and a uniformity of 0.60. With eight Lumosa CS 860 luminaires, Alella now reaches 220 lux and 0.70 uniformity — comfortably above the required level.

The difference is visible right away. No more dark zones. No more shadows during key moments. Just bright, consistent light. Every training. Every match.

Smart control, real savings

The upgrade didn’t stop at new fixtures. Alella also chose the LumosaTouch control system — smart software that lets you easily switch between lighting modes. Match, training or break — all at the touch of a button.

And it pays off. Thanks to intelligent control, the club now saves 40 to 50% more energy than before. Lower consumption, reduced costs, more control.

Ready for the future

What started as a necessary replacement turned into a smart investment. One that players notice right away, that cuts energy use and gets the club future-ready.

Lighting that performs, adapts and saves.
And a system that’s just as flexible as the people who use it.
Alella now plays under lighting that works.
