Atlético Clube Avelarense
Atlético Clube Avelarense, based in Avelar (Ansião municipality), is a sports club with deep roots in the local community. Founded in 1931, the club has become an essential part of sporting life in the region.
Over the years, the stadium’s conventional lighting had deteriorated significantly, no longer meeting the standards needed for quality football. The club started looking for an LED solution that could deliver ideal playing conditions.
Lumosa Iberia, specialist in LED lighting that combines energy efficiency with top-level performance, developed a tailored installation. At Campo da Cabeça Gorda, we installed eight CS860 Pro luminaires, delivering more than 150 lux. This results in bright, even lighting with lower energy costs and minimal maintenance.
No light pollution
The stadium is located in a residential area, so light pollution had to be reduced to an absolute minimum. Lumosa supplied fixtures that distribute the light precisely and evenly across the pitch. We also installed the LumosaTouch control system, allowing the club to manage energy use easily via a user-friendly app.
We had to replace the lighting system urgently. With every training session visibility became worse and the old yellow lamps made evening practice nearly impossible. Choosing Lumosa’s LED lighting has cut our energy costs significantly and the response has been unanimous. Our experience went from a ‘1’ to a ‘100.'
