Orewa Tennis Club
Orewa Tennis Club (Inc) is a major hub for community tennis in the Hibiscus Coast, some 40 kilometers from downtown Auckland, New Zealand. The club has a proud history of providing quality facilities for its members and visitors. So what was involved in delivering a world-class lighting solution?
From conventional to LED
This project has two elements. The first is the replacement of the old metal halides on courts 1-3. This was reasonably straightforward and freed up the power supply for stage two. The second part of the project was installing new cabling, foundations and poles for new LED lighting on courts 4, 5 and 6. This involved Engineers undertaking a ground conditions survey and then designing the appropriate concrete foundations and poles for the new LEDs. After the local authority building consent was issued work took place over the course of a month resulting in brand new LEDs lights on the back courts
