Retrofit sports lighting

SV Gottenheim chose a smart retrofit of the existing sports field lighting. The football pitch was upgraded with modern LED lighting, without fully replacing the existing infrastructure. A sustainable solution that prepares the club for the future, with lower energy costs and better visibility on the pitch.

For this project, 8 Lumosa CS860 Pro luminaires were installed. Thanks to the efficient LED technology, SV Gottenheim now achieves energy savings of 72.6% compared to the previous lighting installation.

More light, less disturbance

Retrofit is about more than simply replacing luminaires. As part of the upgrade, the existing mast cabling, fuses and surge protection were also renewed to ensure a safe and future-proof installation.

Because the sports park is located in a residential area, reducing light nuisance was an important part of the project. That is why lightguides and an extensive light immission assessment were used. This keeps the light focused on the pitch while limiting disturbance to the surrounding area.

Smart retrofitting with Lumosa

Retrofit sports lighting makes it possible to modernise existing sports facilities without complete reconstruction. With a tailored lighting plan, precise optics and efficient LED luminaires, a uniform light distribution is created while reducing energy consumption.

For SV Gottenheim, this means more control over the lighting, lower maintenance costs and a sports park that is ready for years of intensive use.
