From Light to Energy
What started with LED lighting for sports fields has grown into a complete portfolio of sustainable technology. Today, we offer smart solutions that light up sports venues, business parks, infrastructure and also charge EVs and help distribute energy intelligently.
Our strength? We always think ahead. And we build everything ourselves. From hardware to software, from lighting design to charging solutions. All in-house. So we know for sure it works. Technically and in use.
A tech company with a mission
Lumosa was founded in 2006 by Henk Maas. With a strong background in tech and years of international experience in the development of computer monitors and LED lighting, he decided to take a different path. His mission: use technology to stop energy waste. With smart products that work in use, in design and in sustainability.
The name Lumosa reflects our roots. “Lumen” means light in Italian. “Mosa” refers to the Maas family. Together they form Lumosa: light, family and innovation combined.
What started as an ambitious idea has grown into an international tech company, headquartered in Son, with 200 employees and thousands of projects around the world. And we still develop everything ourselves. From LED lighting to EV chargers. Including the software that connects it all.

Our R&D department
At Lumosa, we believe innovation doesn’t come from outside, it comes from within. That’s why we develop all our technology in-house. At our R&D center in Son en Breugel, our engineers, designers and software wizards work every day on smart solutions for lighting and energy. Sustainable. Practical. And always one step ahead.
