Located in Hamilton, Waikato Diocesan School for Girls has around 670 students, including 160 boarders. The school has a strong tradition of excellence and is widely recognised as one of New Zealand’s top-performing schools, with an impressive track record in academics, sport and the arts.

Lighting in the spotlight
Hockey is a key focus at the school. The existing field was equipped with eight 10-metre masts and a total of twelve traditional 2 kW metal halide luminaires. The challenge was clear: achieve 500 lux, ensure stable power supply and deliver even light distribution, as specified.
Lumosa installed two new 14.5-metre masts the maximum height allowed by the council ,and mounted twenty CS860 Pro LED-armaturen. With precise shielding and careful aiming, the system meets strict glare and spill requirements. The result is a world-class hockey facility with optimal lighting.
Well done. We gave Lumosa a real challenge, improve the lighting while keeping as many of the existing masts as possible. The result is stunning. Lumosa delivered once again.
