Glenfield Tennis Club
Glenfield Tennis Club is a very friendly and relaxed tennis club, located in the Elliott Reserve, on Elliott Ave in Auckland's North Shore. It is steeped in history, having first been opened in 1960, incorporated in 1962, and on the current site since 1969. So what was involved in delivering a world-class lighting solution?
Precision and Perfection
The poles were surveyed with a drone to ensure there was no evidence of rust or corrosion. Once measured, the light plan was completed ensuring the best possible light spread whilst minimising light spill onto the neighbouring properties.
The installation involved carefully trafficking across the courts so no damage was incurred to the pristine playing surface. Once at the poles, the halides were removed and the new Lumosa CS860pro luminaires were bolted into place. Drivers were placed on the sides of the poles for easy access and for completing the wiring. The incoming power was via conduits on the fence line – these were tested and where necessary replaced to ensure a safe electrical environment.
Now the club has brilliant lighting and is well placed for the Auckland Tennis competition.
